im gonna do a swap in my friends 93 hatch cx. the motor came out of a 94 LS and its OBD1 with a bad alternator. i can get ahold of a alterator from the 96LS motors. will that alterator work. just wanting to make sure

Yes it will. You will have to change the connector. Just match the wire up.

dont the 96 have 1 more wire then the 94?

It shouldnt be. I've wired up plenty of these connectors
