Well, I just really watched my first trailer for X-Men 3 (Ive been trying not to pay attention to trailers for things I want to see...makes the movie a better surprise and all).
Anyways, just a short rant:
Mutant antibody? Sorry, but an antibody isnt going to cure crapola mr marvel universe. Now, Im willing to admit that Im nerd-enough to know that the mutations in X-men are just like mutations in the real world - theyre genetic...antibodies attack foreign invaders in the body, at the cellular level.
Even if you want to say that their implimenting a forced immunization, its still not going to affect anything at the level of molecules in a double helix.
Gene therapy. Thats the only way to cure a mutant. Though I can see where that would be harder to use on an unwilling population. Still, if I were a mutant, I wouldnt have much to worry about, since therapy using retroviral vectors doesnt work most of the time anyways...people just tend to die. Perhaps not bad if youre against mutants, but not all that great if you want it done quickly.
Ah, the apparent flaws with comparing reality and fiction.

Good rant pat. Enjoyed.
If you could have any powers of anybody in the xmen series. Who would it be?

Wolverine's healing/regenerative ability, without a doubt. Skeleton/claws arent necessary though.
I made this choice a long time ago, when I was like 7 or 8, and read the comics regularly.
Sure, laser eyes, psychokenisis, ice, super strength, all good...but youre still gonna die from a major blow and die at an average human limit of life. But, if I were Wolverine-y, none of that would be a problem.
Im already a loner, so the fact that Id outlive all my friends/family is trivial. MRSA? STDs? Who cares?
Now if I had the skeleton, Id only fear drowning...and magnets, of course
(yep, thought that out a bit too much, I think)

I've got one beef with the new X-Men flick. They picked the wrong Jones to play Juggernaut. Yeah...Vinnie Jones is great. I've loved him in just about everything he's been in. That said, he's too damn small to play Juggernaut. They should have hired Nathan Jones. If you've never seen "Tom Yum Goong" or Jet Li's "Fearless", you a) need to re-evaluate your priorities in life and b) quit being such a fucking girl. Nathan Jones is 6'10" 330lbs of solid muscle. He's a former professional strongman and wrestler. The guy is simply fucking massive. Vinnie Jones is a big guy...but Nathan Jones would dwarf him in size. And after all...Juggernaut is a big motherfucker, right?
