ive been going to the local bars following a few local bands probobly 3-5 times a month, but this summer i wana goto bonaroo(sp?) up in tennessee, its a 3 day music festival type thing... i know beck is playing for sure, and the lineup is always stacked. hopefully tool makes a south east tour on their way back from europe. nothing else has really jumped out at me, at least not in this area.

Alright, Last night fucking rocked. the concert(Earthday Birthday lucky 13) started at noon, and I don't remember when it ended cause I went to the afterparty(AKA lounge in downtown orlando and Mudvayne footed the bill.)
Band 1: Faktion: Sucked

Band 2: Hinder: sucked (went to get beer and foot long hotdog during thier horrible 45 minute performance

Band 3: Lacuna Coil: Better than I thought it would be(things are looking up)

Band 4: Thoery of a Deadman: Amazing, and yet still sucked

Band 5: Nonpoint: Just complete and utter insanity, this band changed my mind of them, thier set was flawless

Band 6: Trapt: Now were getting somewhere, they were just amazing and really need to get thier new stuff out, cause its great stuff

Band 7: Shinedown: lets just put it this way, the lead singer had to tell every to shut the fuck up and let him sing(nobody would stop cheering) once they played Simple man, he just started singing and the crowd took over and he jumped in the crowd(for a second)

Band 8: Staind. before they went up on stage I went back stage (one of my friends does all the sound boards for them) and I got to meet Aaron Lewis, and Rob Zombie, and Fred Durst (smoked a hookah of Orlando's finest with them and Mrs. Zombie :wackit: ) and recieved a shirt that got signed by every performer there, that i was instructed by Mr. Zombie to give it to my girl because it's a shame that she didn't want to go. so I pulled out my cell phone and called her and pissed her off to the point that she hung up on me (beause i was intoxicated) and then Mr. Zombie took my phone and called her back, and told her that i was that way because she wasn't here and she started crying alot and said that it was a mistake that she left in the first place, and that she was sorry. (ladies and gentleman, Rob Zombie save my relationship)

okay back to Band 8: Staind: staind has this image that they are pussy's and what not because all thier songs are angry, but the set they played was amazing and the encore was Mudshovel.

Band 9: Rob Zombie: Before he got on stage and rocked my socks off (musically speaking) they sowed the video to American Witch. then all of a sudden you hear a devilsh voice say: Fuck that, you bastards can do better. the next thing we know we are part of the video shoot for American Witch.

Band 10 Mudvayne: well thier Mudvayne amd I do not remember much about them or the after party

I've finally found the Southern side in myself. I've been listening to Rascal Flatts. Asian listening to COUNTRY!! It's not really country though, right? It's like, soft, sweet ballads..with a lil twang in the background!

Yeah...I'm not sure they count as country. Most new country I hear I go "This is pretty fucking gay". Even when THOSE artists hear Rascal Flatts they go "damn...and I thought I was gay". That's like calling Martina McBride country. WRONG. She's adult contemporary...she just happens to have lap steel guitars and whatnot.

Real country is Johnny...fucking...Cash. No way around it. I like a lot of Hank Williams Sr.'s stuff, too...but a lot of it's just too damn twangy for me. So...the man in black FTW!

Yeah, my brother has seen them twice. Good band. Yet, they don't put on that great of a show.
