Tito dominated the first round but Forrest won the other 2. If you ask me, Round 4 was in order. But being in Tito's hometown, he got the win. Bullshit, yes but a good fight.

Hi kwik.
I went and looked at street bike yesterday. So far I have narrowed it down to the Suzuki gsxr 1000 and the Honda cbr 929 or 1000. Input?

First bike of yours?
Got pics? What tires and miles are on these? Stock exhausts? What years are these bikes?

Those are the two models that I have narrowed it down to. I would like to stay newer than 2000, and yes these will be my first street bike.
I was leaning towards the gsxr however i like the honda also.

Umm.. Take out an insurance policy and put my name on it please!
Seriously man.. Those bikes are SERIOUSLY fast! IMO, it is a bad idea to start on anything with that much power. A 600cc Race Rep is more then fast enough, especially for a beginner (still to fast for a beginner IMO). That is just my opinion though. You are going to get what you want. The only thing that I recommend is that you take an MSF course or some sort of Motorcycle safety course.

Put me second in line for that cash. Dude. I didn't get a 1000 for my first bike. In all honesty, I don't know anybody that has gotten a 1000 for their starter. It's not necessary. I have a 600 and it's plenty fast for me. Although I am goign to a bigger bike soon it will be with a lot of years under my belt, and I don't know if I'm getting a 1000. I might go with a 750. And besides as far as I'm concerned. You'll never use/need the power.
Don't believe the liter bike hype. hahahaha jk
The Gixxer 600 and Honda CBR 600RR are super fast and enough power dude.

I've been looking at both the 600 and 750 gixxer. I REALLY like them, but I don't think I need to spend the extra money for the extra 25hp on the 750. I have a while before I decide to buy something else, but I love the looks of the new Gixxers. I'd get a 636 but Suzuki has longer financing so that I don't have to be in such a hurry to pay it off. We'll see what kind of financing they have gonig on when I finally decide to buy something.

I should rephrase that. This will be the first street bike that I have owned. I have been around motorcycles since I was 6 and owned dirt bikes and mopeds when I was younger. I haven’t ridden a bit and I am well aware of their power.
Most of my commuting will be highway (the reason for considering the higher cc) however I haven’t ruled out the 600 f4i.
