I just heard on ESPN during a game today a fan threw a syringe at barry bonds on the field. while he was stretching.

man, imo let it go. if he uses it agian then be mad. thats if he used it the time knowing it.

Honestly, I don't care. Stupid people invest a lot of emotional energy in people they perceive to be "heroes" just because some dipshit can hit a ball or run fast. It just so happens that this particular dipshit used synthetic chemicals to run faster and hit harder. Then the stupid person feels "betrayed" by someone they never knew but somehow felt some connection with. Really it all boils down to stupid people doing stupid shit. Bonds did something stupid so a fan did something stupid. Action, reaction.

true, but people need to fucking grow up. you dont see them mad at any other ball player but bonds. he wasnt the only fucking user.

he got the spotlight, thats all it is. if you've noticed its always "bonds and other athletes under investigation" or " all atheltes including bonds can play durring blah blah blah" he's just the marquee name for this investigation. All this "*" stuff they want to put on records is just bullshit. i understand the cheating argument 100% but shit if you really want to split hairs then babe ruth had extra games to hit his home runs, the baseballs are now tighter wound and use more solid centers, bat technology has improved, theres 1000 other things that have changed, but this one you can point the finger at one person or small group of people and say well this single variable is an advantage in the year 2006 people didnt have in 1930... shit he's still hitting a small white ball thrown at 80-100+ mph every time and hitting it with a smaller round poll. steriods may make you stronger, but reation time and muscle movment do not improve, and may deteriorate due to it. im not condoning it, but if they wana argue tainting records then lets take 50 steps backwards and keep baseball like it was in the 1890's... wait we've evolved.

Steroids rule sports. End of discussion.

I gotta disagree with that. For example. Alexander Ovechkin

Watch the video. The guy is a fucking amazing hockey player. He is dominating the league and he's a rookie. The guy has skills that are untouchable. In my opinion. It would be amazing to see him play hockey and work his magic on the ice. Gotta have ton's of talent to play how he plays. Lots of respect for him man.

Take away the players money if they are using them. That'll stop them.

yea, true. but how you can tell someone not to use something? its free will. plus how is "cheating"?

I suppose using steroids is as much free will as is the act of banning them. Sports are based on training and physical prowess. If any dipshit with a syringe can become the next Hank Aaron or Jerry Rice then it effectively destroys the integrity of the game. It's cheating because there are so many players trying to make a legitimate go at what they do. If all you've gotta do is inject some crap into your veins to be better than them then you have an unfair advantage.
