Im not doin so well with cash right now and Im tryin to race my boys altima SE-R this weekend... Right now Im thinkin I have no chance, for one I have a MT and his is AT, and for two SE-Rs are pretty damn fast

What are some cheap or even free things I could do to stand a chance?

So far I have ebay headers and muffler on there, an intake I got from a junkyard, and I completely stripped out everything behind the drivers seat (no seats, seat belts or padding, its BARE) I also made a little air scoop which believe it or not actually helped a little bit. Im also getting a high flow cat and that little chip that u put on ur intake sensor...

Im rapidly approaching 100k miles maybe I should get new spark plugs?? Im pretty sure carmax changed them at 71k before I bought it.. who knows though

Anyways thx for ur help

actually SER are slow. my Auto H23 would school any SER. SER only dyno 145 stock even tho they are rated much higher.

just do the basic: intake exhuast (cat-back not muffler) cams pulleys a good battery (optima red top) plugs.

im pretty sure i read somewhere that se-rs run 14.2 stock... i think car and driver had that time listed... i mean it does have 260 hp

I already have the intake and most of the exhaust done... still waiting on the high flow cat

I raced a stock G35 the other day and we were pretty much even.. I beat him once and he beat me twice but one of the times he beat me I missed a shift :wtf:
