So the movie "Blue Lagoon" was on tonight and I figured I'd watch at least a bit of it since I'd never seen it. Bad call. How the fuck is this not kiddie porn? I don't particularly have a problem with naked folks parading around on screen if it's a baby/infant or whatnot...but they've got barely pre-adolescent kids running around, full frontal-style. What the fuck? First of all, I can't imagine this would be legal in any venue and second of all, why would any station air this stuff? I mean I'm all for freedom of speech and expression, but not at the cost of exploiting children in this kind of way. There's a fine line between art and porn when it comes to nudity, and this "film" definitely crosses it. I searched the credits, and Roman Palansky's name didn't pop up once, much to my suprise.

I never got that. They always play that movie on tv, and since its a 'classic' i guess people can over look the fact that all it is is a bunch of naked 12 year olds running around. you know what else is a really fucked up movie, beyond the valley of dolls

Yeah Blue Lagoon and Valley of the Dolls are in TOTALLY different legue of fuck upness...
Blue lagoon I used to watch ALL the time when I was a kid... but Yeah I saw it recently and was like... WAIT a minute... brooke shields was like 13 when they made that movie.. .and she is BUCK naked...
Forget the kids kids cuz IMO the majority of people are gunna see that as naked kids...
BUT... a dead hot, buck naked 13yo Brooke Shields... that's different...
All I can remember thinking when I saw it again was... It was MUCH cooler watching this movie when I was younger than her... now I just feel dirty.

Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls is just set up to be a completely fucked up film. First of all, it was directed by the king of gratuitous big-tittied-women-semi-porn-masquerading-as-legitimate-film Russ Meyers. None of his movies have any sense of plot...it's just a bunch of busty chicks usually running around naked. Normally you'd get no argument from me, but some people really insist his stuff is legit, and that's just bullshit.
Secondly, the script was written by Roger Ebert (yes, that Roger Ebert). This film is generally accepted by anyone with a modicum of taste as being one of the worst films ever made, so it's curious that a man who is probably the biggest film critic in the world would have written such trash. That's right Ebert...you don't get to give a single thumbs down ever again.

^100pct agree...
I saw it late night on some movie channel at my parents house upstate... and it was TERRIBLE...
I'd watch just about ANY movie it's got nudity... I couldn't sit through more than a 4min chunks of the movie... even then it wasn't worth flipping back and forth too after too long.
And I'm not sure if I knew THAT movie was written by roger ebert... but I did know that he wrote borderline if not porno movies when he was younger... lol
and that they were poorly written..

Steve, if you think Blue Lagoon is fucked up, then dont even try watching Pretty Baby. Brooke Shields again butt naked and lived in a whore house and became a prostitute. They actually showed her naked-no panties blah blah several times and making out with an old dude. I think this movie was before the Blue Lagoon. Brooke Shields was maybe 12 or something........

Seen it. That was the one with Susan Sarandon, right? What the fuck is up with Brooke shields and teenage porn? What a whore.:D
Quick edit: Ok...I checked out IMDB just to make sure and sure enough, she was 13 when Pretty Baby came out 15 when Blue Lagoon came out. What a great way to start off your career as a B-list actress...kiddie porn.
