So I finally got a chance to sit down and watch this tonight. Holy shit was I disappointed. The movie starts off just fine. Acouple of douche bag Americans in Amsterdam smoking a bunch of weed like retards and basically just looking for some tail. Some equally mentally incompitent jackass tells them about a hostel in Bratislava where they can get all the pussy they want. Like a couple of fuckwads, they go. Once they get there it's a good 20 minutes or so of tits (no complaining from me). After that they're one-by-one abducted and taken to some weird place where people are tortured and killed...most by rich business men. The story is loosely based on a website the writer saw advertising trips to Thailand where, for $10K, you could kill someone. The website is, of course, bullshit and so is this movie. The trailers for this said that in some screenings paramedics had to be called. I suspect that this was due to people passing out from sheer boredom. That...or they just couldn't go on watching such a bland and pointless film. The cinematoraphy is decent in an "8MM" kind of way. You see brief images of fucked up shit but then they move on. There's some decent gore as well...but it's incredibly limited. Other than that, it's all downhill. I'm suprised Tarantino put his name on this piece of shit. Oh wait...no I'm not. He'll slap his name on anything he had absolutely nothing to do with. Save your money...Go see "Big Mama's House 2". Wait...I think I just threw up in my mouth a little at that thought. In any event, it has to be better than "Hostel".
