I planned on throwing out a bunch of shit my wife and I never use.. instead I put it on ebay and made over $1200. Go figure.. anyways, I have 2 guns a Remington 7 Series with a scope and some Ruger .22 with a scope.. Her mom bought them for us for home defense or some shit..anyways, what is the LEGAL and SAFE way to sell these? Or can I? I have no idea..

how'd you sell the stuff? did you list it on ebay or bring it to one of those stores that will sell it on ebay for you? I've been tempted to bring some of my stuff to one of those places to try and get some money

i think weapons, illegal drugs, alcohol, and smokes are not supposed to be sold on ebay

I just sold it myself.. my wife's mom buy's us random shit ALL the time which has sat in the closet for years.. for example I sold 2 Cobra handheld CBs for like $60 each and $20 shipping on each. Just place it on ebay.. doesn't hurt.

Maybe someone here knows guns and can help me with pricing? I called a gunshop here in town and they are interested in buying my guns.. but I don't wanna get ripped off. Here they are:
Ruger 10/22 Carbine with Simmons 3-9x40 Scope
Remington Model Seven Bolt Action Center Fire Rifle with the same scope

Yea but I dont think its legal to ship firearms across state lines any more. So i think the only thing you can do is sell lovally. You should call the shipping company (ups fedex) to see if you can ship guns with them or if they know how to get them somewhere with out having to drive them there

rifles are pretty unregulated... I mean you can buy them in walmart in almost all if not all 50 states.
Rifles are one thing that they really don't do much about...
Last time I checked most states don't require any kind of transfer of title even for handguns.
IE they only care about new gun purchases.
this is all pre 9/11 info though... who knows what they've changed since... I'm not much of a gun dude anymore... don't have the money.

Those are both really nice guns... I'm not sure on price ranges though. A google search would probobly turn up some ideas.

ok to sell or buy a gun across state lines you must do it through a dealer, such as gun runner. they then send the gun via postal service to your nearest approved firearms dealer then you fill out the paperwork and pick up your new beauty.

As for price of the guns, check out your local bookstore. They sell gun black books, or take them to a local gun shop and ask them if they can tell you. They usually have the books there.
