Dont you love when you get you oil changed and they dont tighten the fing oil plug? I kept seeing little drops of oil in my garage for a couple of days and was wonder where it was coming from. I looked all over the block and then I thought to check the oil plug and yep finger tight. D**ks. And before anyone says it I know how to change oil but it is a pain to get rid of it cause local shops charge $5 to take it and $15 to change so.

My favorite is when they don't lube the filter seal so the next time you change it the seal stays on there and oil spills out everywhere when you start it. Fuck that...I change it myself.

what about when they don’t fill it with oil at all, a friend from a shop around here admitted to driving 3 cars around with no oil

I used to work for an oil changing place and one of the guys working there started a SL 500 and let it run and then pulled it out of the shop with out any oil in it, walked back inside checked the guy out, gave him his keys and let him leave. Needless to say the Mercedes didn't make it but a couple miles up the road.

I dont trust anyone to change my oil... even my friends.... ha ha.

I had a bad experience 3 months after buying my 99 civic EX brand new. The dude forgot to put the oil cap back on. So there you go, a 3 month old vehicle with oil all over the engine bay and an unknown motor condition. I didnt realize that the cap was off until 1 week later.... and this was by a f'n dealership! Certified Honda mechanics..... tsk...

Man I do about 6 different cars for oil changes locally!
Those little shops suck!

I make the people buy the oil and filter, then pay me $5. Murray's takes oil for free, so I just fill up some windshield washer bottles and have the people drop them off (and they better bring my bottles back).

I used to dump my oil bottles in the trash....Ive grown up since then

I didnt know there is any other way...:D. I fill up empty soda and juice containers and toss them out on the nearest recepticle.... like those big dumpsters on apartment complex ....

... as far as my coolant goes, next to my garage is a road drain... he he....

Places like Walmart will take it for free. You just have to goto the auto shop there and tell them you have some oil to dispose of. You tell them how much and they take care of it.

I can't believe you guys dump the oil & fluids in the woods, drains, etc.. That does some nasty things to the wildlife and water supply.

If you can't get it to Walmart (or Sam's), at least just wait til the shops shut down and drop it at their door.

If I'm remembering correctly it is ILLEGAL for a shop with access to disposal services to charge for dumping oil...

They have to provide it for free so all the retards out there who think it's OK to dump oil in the garbage or in the woods have an option that doesn't shit all over the world.

SERIOUSLY... you guys can mail me your waste oil if your such bastards you'd dump it on the ground or in the trash... that shit is leaving a legacy for the future... It's not funny... you're not cool, or tough for doing it... you're a piece of shit that doesn't give a fuck about ANYTHING but yourself.

Grow up or I hope you die of something embarrasing / painful / drawn out.

Wow. That was a little heavy on the insults, but you're right.;) You mess up the environment for everyone ahead of you too.
