i've been searching for a aluminum floorjack that has a min. height of around 3-4" and a max height around 17-18" for less than $150.
I tried looking for a Torin one at pepboys, but with no luck. Either they had the one for $99 which only lifted up to 14-15" or a $300 that lifted to 17-18". I found the Torin one i wanted at northerntool.com, but shipping and tax totaled up to around $175.
I went on ebay and found this.

Has anybody ever tried using one of these? Any comments on it?

I don't trust aluminum jacks anywhere outside of a track. They just can't handle as much weight as a conventional quick lift jack. They're lighter, which owns...but lack the strength that'd make me comfortable getting under a car supported by one.
Nice broken link by the way. You suck at teh internet.:D

yeah, link broken...
I use the big blue steel one from NorthernTool. Works great although I still have to race my car up with scissor jack jst to slide it in. It's not low enough but I just like the rigidness and stability it has....

I bought one of those for my truck and I really like it. It lifts a hell of a lot quicker than my old jack.

is there anywhere besides sears that sells craftsman?
and i highly doubt your gonna get a SUV jack under the prelude... lowered or not. if its a truck jack what might make it a truck jack? it being fucking huge so you dont have to pump it 8-10 inches to get to the frame? or so low you can slide it under a lowered prelude? :D
