Boost or Bike

Which one should I get Turbo for the Civ or a Street bike.

I cant decide, I can get a bike for $1500 from a friend which is about the same price to start getting my Greddy kit together.

I voted to turbo the Civic but if you must get a bike dont ge tthe Yamaha. They have problems with the fuel injection and it keeps it far behind the GSX-R and the CBR. Its still fast but it felt like it hesitates in some rpm ranges. I was not real impressed.

I bought a 99 Ninja and absolutely love it. While its freakin great to ride, I wish I would've spend the money on my civic. Go with the turbo.

The only reason I want the yamaha is because he only wants $1500 dollars for it.. The only thing it really needs is a paint job. Its got a bunch of aftermarket stuff on it. Id love to have a GSXR or CBR but I cant find one for $1500 anywhere.

Basically anything as long as it is for the car!

fzr all the way. I personally am planning on getting a 2002 R1 *IF* i can find cheaper insurance...right now my ninja is $300 a month for comprehensive, underinsured, & Personal Injury protection :mad:

300 a month. I pay 240/month for full coverage on my 2000 civic, full coverage on my 99 Ninja, and a life insurance policy. 300/month is almost my car payment. WOW

damn you guys need to shop around for car insurance. I pay 104 a month full coverage for my teg and regular insurance for my beater.

i lvoe hyabusas(sp?) saw one, it was sweet. but a turbo civic would be nice. but the bike will be fast.

I know it varies by state & county. The civic is high to insure because the theft rate is so high (at least thats what my insurance agent told me). The bike is high to insure because it has a 1198 cc engine in it, ive had a motorcycle license for 6 mos., and because i have really high PIP on it. I just insure it 6-8 months outta the year but it still sucks. BELIEVE ME i called every single mother fvcking insurance company in washington...the prices were all about the same...
I was calculating it today, and just to drive it costs me:
$650 car payment (24 month loan)
$209 car insurance
$277 bike insurance

that's rather hard to believe... i pay $250 for 6 months of bike insurance...it' can't possibly be more than car ins. especially when you have a car AND bike with the same co.

Well after some serious thinking. I decided I didnt want to do anything like that to the civic until its paid off and I have something else to drive for a daily driver. After I get the civic paid off and my credit card I will probably Rebuild the motor and turbo the civic.

As for the bike, I want one bad. But since Im trying to get some bills paid off. I dont want to spend all the extra money on insurance and such. So I bought a couple ATVs. Which Im now selling to get the civic paid off faster.

My main goal right now is to get myself out of debt a little. Then afterwards I will buy all my goodies and pay cash for all of them!!

Nah, my wifes the greatest. She wants me to make the civic faster because she likes hot rodding in my car..:D(she said shed buy one for me once I get the money if I wanted one.) As for the bike. She thinks it be fun to have but shed worry about me like crazy every time I get on it. As for the ATVs. She loves them. We sold hers to pay down on some bills and Ill probably give her mine and buy a new one after we get some bills paid off if I dont sell it first.:yes:

gsx-r's are also the fastest out of the 600cc sportbike class, it'll tear it up in the twisties also... but the 1000 and the busa are the straight line dominators...
