Ok...so I used to think professional wrestling was the gayest spectacle ever. I mean really...think about it..it's a bunch of guys, usually in spandex, grabbing each other's junk and whatnot. Well, I was wrong. I caught an episode of the shitty FX show about ultimate fighting the other night. Considering it's billed as some sort of all-out no holds barred fighting event, it's homoerotic latency is ridiculous. After about a minute or two, every fight ends up in what me and my roommate refer to as "the manball". Two guys hit the mat and move around in a fashion that would make porn stars blush. Seriously...how can this be billed as such a manly sport when it looks like one guy is trying tofuck another guy who's resisting. Pro wrestling is no doubt incredibly homoerotic and ridiculously white trash...but the UFC seems to be just tripping over itself to outdo wrestling in the arena of gayness.

When I watch UFC I see two people fighting and using different tactics and techniques to defeat the other one... I see nothing gay about it. Then again, some people only see what they want to see...

I'm gunna suprise the crap out of everyone and agree with highlander...
I watch that show and my friends in boston got me into the tapes a couple years ago...
I'll admit that when it gets to an all grappling match it's pretty gay... interupted by elbow's to the face... but it's not fun watching 2 dudes roll around on the ground...
But I've found the majority of fights on that show have been pretty decent...
Only one I was disappointed in was when a couple of dudes who were friend fought and they both were being complete wimps about it.
So GT ... got something you want to come out about? lol j/k

Ok...maybe I did generalize it a bit. But most of the fights I see are with guys so evenly matched they just dance around, take a few swings, then end up rolling around on the floor together in what I can only describe as a very uncomfortable fashion. The fights where two guys go in and beat the living hell out each other are entertaining, but way too few and far between. Now that I think about it, it does have one thing over the WWE...it's not scripted and there's no stupid "plot". So maybe I'm just seeing a bunch of unentertaining matches?
Racing Rice...man...I don't even know you're real name.:D Yes, there are plenty of things I like. It's just that I don't feel the need to vent about things I like. But you're not alone. Lots of people I know are under the impression that I hate everything.

Grappling seems to be becoming a pretty popular fighting style. The Army recently switched to teaching Brazillian Jujitsu instead of the old style hand to hand since you're usual stand up fighter doesn't know what the hell to do once you get them on the ground. Maybe that's part of the reason why you always see these professional fighters going straight to grappling instead of just stand up fighting so often.
