It has to be fake. From personal experience there is a cloud of white baby powder like crap that is spit out when the airbag goes off. And secondly a bag against the front of a car isn't enough to set it off.

Well done though. The sound is also recorded in after teh shooting of the film. Notice how you can hear the bag hit the car like its 5 feet from the mic. No way a hand held has that could of a mic.
