I've made up my mind.. I've been wanting one since they came out 6 years ago, but kept telling myself I need to put a few years on a little less powerful bike first. Well its been almost 3 years now and I think I'm ready to take the plunge.. Hopefully this fall, maybe next spring depending on how long it takes for me to payoff my credit card.

The only person who is on my hitlist is myself.. Hopefully I don't kill myself on it. 160Hp/99ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheel! Top speed of a restricted 190mph, With the restrictor removed, it will do 205mph. Capable of high 9s in the 1/4 mile bone stock.
I don't care about that stuff though... I've just always like the bike.

What the point of even restricting it then? Cutting it back 15 mph.
Good luck by the way. As soon as the dam wedding is out of the way, I'm getting one.

What is that, a 'Busa? I never could just look at a bike and tell what it was. If it is a 'Busa...man...you must have some money sitting around.

did you get an insurance quote for one? i got one and I just laughed and hung up the phone.
sick bike though, definitely my dream bike. get one and get the turbo kit for it, then you'll really be fast.

Yes, its a 'Busa. I wouldn't mind a ZX12R either, but the hayabusa is a little better for two up riding. My bikes are my car payments. Since my "car payment" is only $139 a month on my asS-10. I usually pay off stuff as quickly as I can, thats how I can afford all of these wonderful toys. :D
ZX10R, Gix1000, etc... Not my style of riding. The torture rack position is to much for me. I'm keeping the Z1000, so I'll have my light sporty bike to play on still. :)
I have not checked insurance on it yet. I will be checking before I buy one though.:D I don't need a turbo... I wont even use the power it has stock.. Besides, it as more power then my civic does and weighs 5x less.

It would apear this is the bike to be watching in the next year, and it aint from Europe or Japan either..... Quite possibly the most advanced and revolutionary superbike to date, right here from the good ol U.S. of A.

Nope.. Two reasons...
Don't like the looks of it.. Its okay, but doesn't really do anything for me. Secondly, BMWs are WAY out of my price range. I have a hard time coming to grips with paying $10K for a Hayabusa. I'm going to try to find an '05 thats marked down to make way for the new '06s. Fall and spring are the best times to buy bikes just for that very reason. The Hayabusa's MSRP is $10,999 if I wait until fall I can probably get on for around $9300-9500. I'd never find a new BMW for anywhere near that price.
Like I said before.. The Hayabusa was one of those bikes that I've lusted after before I ever started riding. Its one of those bikes that when you see it you just know what it is. There are other bikes out there that I like and wouldn't mind having, but none of them really do it for me like the Hayabusa does. If I decided to get something else, I would still want a Hayabusa. Don't know why, thats just how I feel.
