so there are 4 kittens that have been running around my apt complex the past few weeks and tonight i finally caught one of em with my home made humaine trap(very good quality i might add.. no way of the cat being hurt). as it is right now he/she is not very freindly with people. im guessing that within a day or 2 it will start warming up more to me. already its not running carzy around the apt anymore and i put out food and water for it tonight.
what do i need to do tomorrow or in the next few days as far as shots/vet stuff?
also anyone have any tecniques for getting cats to like em faster?

well its not running from me anymore. i wouldnt call it friendly, but it will sit in one place and let me pet it. its deffinitally a good start for 2 hrs.

haha you have to let the cat get used to you on it's own terms. just be kind, feed em and show em attention. eventually he should become friendly. being a baby it should be easier than if it were a grown cat
lol
congrats...when you get the camera up i want to see the pics of the traps lol

Generally it's best to keep it in one room for about a week or so. Let it get used to that one room (preferably where it's food and/or litter box is) and then slowly let it venture out into the rest of the house/apartment. We've got 2 cats at my mom's house and even though they were about 7 when we moved to a new house, they still freaked out. We kept them in a room with their litter box and food and water for a couple days and eventually let them explore the rest of the house at their own pace. But when we first got them we kept them in the basement for about 2 weeks and then slowly let them into the rest of the house. Just make sure that while you're letting them get used to the one room you give them plenty of attention.

my roomate wants a cat but i wont let her because of what she did to her last ones plus we have 2 birds. Cats are soo independent, but they can be very nice sometimes

when they are kittens, but once they get older, they suck. i know i have had cats all of my life. I have one cat that has the human equality of mental retardation, she is a little "Slow".

ive had a couple, and one of them was the perfect cat. always nice to you and didnt demand attention the whole time. i think it has alot to do with being nice to them as they grow up as a kitten
