I went to the junk yards yesterday, and the junk yards around here suck ass and are the biggest rip off, they had a manual tranny its said S20 on the label, he said it was off a 2000 ex and I dont believe that for shit he also wanted $500, this tranny was discusting btw, and I look in the service manual and all I see all over the place is S40, and s4c which I think is the SI, whats the difference S20, S40

s20 is the 92-95 ex/si tranny (z6)
s40 is the 96-00 ex tranny (y8)
Either will bolt up to a Dseries

$500 is too much money for a Dseries tranny. You can get them for less than 1/3 that. $500 is what people pay for GSR and B16 trannies

yea fuck them its not even the right one, I found that if you look near the tranny fill plug.........

A000 = small bearing case = CX/DX/HX/VX case,
B000 = large bearing case = EX/Si case

and
D16y8 trans = Pa4/b000

does this sound right
