how do you know it is blown,

the type s series subs had horrible structure, thats why i would have either gone with the r or e (money savor)

well...apprantly according to these guys.....the Type S are good..but yet i also hear people bringing them back cause there blown... how do i know its blown? i push down on it and theres so much resistence its unreal....i like the type S for one major reason....the blue theme im going with ...i dont want Type R cause of the red yes im picky sometimes lol...ill go with one more Type S then if that blows this year..ill go with something different..im still waiting for them to call me with my replacement

it is all in how you take care of your system, and heat is a major factor with alpine subs

well thats good..cause i live in winnipeg...where right now its like only plus 3 out...the guy at Advance told me they test the Type S's at minus 30 or something...

well also alot of heat is built up on the magnet, and can cuase the glue to disrupt which in turn is a blown speaker

I know you like your new subs, but if you want to with the blue theme, look into the the new L7's, plus they hit hard!!!
