I am replacing the steering rack on my 88 CRX and have detatched all of the bolts but am unable to get it out from under the car it wont fit around the suspension. it is all stock but I am haveing a lot of trouble PLEASE HELP

whats the peice thats it snagged on. the sway bar? just take the off. its 3 bolts on each side.

^yea. if thats what its hitting it shouldnt be hard to take it out. if that doesnt work, get a manual from library or something and it should say how to replace it.

I have a chiltons and it dosn't say any thing about having to take any thing more off than I already have. the real problem is that the shaft that connects to the steering column keeps getting stuck. if I could flip the whole thing over then it would come right out

reove the inner tierods too. they help a lot.

yea they do^^ me and my buddy got it out without doing that though...u just gota fight with it...pull it back and forth from each side..and pull down...it was a biatch to do...

thanks were working on it right now and if we cant just pull it were already thinking about taking off the cat I'll tell you if any of this works for us

don't tell me you attempted to take it off with the A pipe and the cat on ?

LOL...i shoulda mentioned that HAS to be at least loosened or taking right off alltogether...

so we got it off but we had to compleatly remove the cat and the shift linkage inorder to pull it far enough now we just need to get the tie rods on and replace the front turn signals and my car will be street legal again

i also got new yokohama AVIA HS4S tires mounted on my 17" tenzo sinco R rims. much better grip and handelling than before over all the swap was not that bad just have to make sure that you can apply enough force to bolt down the tie rods
