I recently lost a heater hose on my '91 Accord EX sedan while driving. I had driven it for a few miles after the hose went and the engine might have overheated for a few secs but no more than a minute before i stopped and had it towed, so if there is any heat damage i think it will be minimal.
I did have a leakdown test done at the dealer and ended up with a low percentage but this can be due to anything from a blown head gasket to carbon buildup on the valves cuz of the car's age- anyways though it is actually running fine now after having replaced the hose- no leaks anywhere.
All i wanted to know was if other ppl out there with the same car are in the 3.5-4k RPM range when they hit 80mph since that's about what my car's been revving at- just being paranoid =).
