Well we finally got around to installing my header and exhaust and i must say DAMN that exhaust hangs lower than stock..i'm rubbing on damn near everything! Anyways, as for performance, it picks up a little quicker now but not anything to write home about. THe looks are freakin awesome!
problem is i have an exhaust leak somewheres! so i need to fix that tomorrow and i'll hopefully get around to putting on the H&R Sport springs sometime this week, painting the valve cover and givin'er a tune up. Oh one more thing...i dunno if its just the exhaust leak, but somewhere around my valve cover/header area, i hear a slight ticking sound. its rather annoying and i'mworried about it.

p.s. (just had timing belt, balancer belt, water pump replaced by Honda on thursday and the sound just started today [sunday]) any thoughts?

If there is enough room against the body, just use some shorter rubber hangers or bend the metal hangers on the exhaust to bring it up a bit.
Find that exhaust leak...they suck

When did you have your last valve adjustment?

speaking of which i'm going to need a valve adj. how much do you guys think it costs?

Honda rips you off roughly $85 (because it takes less than 1hr)
If you have a feeler gauge you can do it yourself.

yeah i think i've read the procedure, but i don't have a feeler gauge, so i'd have to buy one (which i'm assuming isn't cheap) and i'd probably fuck it up.

get an offset gauge, they help a lot ond dohc hondas, and they are not that hard, just make sure the camgear is properly aligned with the marks on the head, otherwise it won't come out right
