I am so dumb when it comes to computer although i know enough to surf the web. Anyway, lately my PC has been infested by pop-ups (no... it's not porn pop-ups...lol). I have a google pop-up blocker and internet exlorer pop-up blocker which worked unbelievebably great for a while. I also have Ad-aware SE Personal installed in which I run everyday and cleans most of these bugs.

I really dont know when the problem started. It either before I tried to enable the updates or when I tried DL'ing the microsoft firewall. Each time I log into ebay, it keeps telling me that my cookie is not allowing me to log-in. I also notice that on some web-boards, including HST, I would have to keep on clicking refresh to get the updated page. On some places like H-T, it wont even allow me to log-out and all my Instant Messages would pop-up no matter how old it is, unless I clear my history.

Can anybody guide me on how to reset my cookies to its original setting? I know that it is my PC cuz this problem doesnt happen when I'm on the computer at work. Thanks

Once you open explorer, click on "tools" then at the bottom you'll see "internet options". Click on that and select "delete cookies". That'll clean up most of them and if you haven't done it in forever and a day you'll probably speed up your comp a bit. Then I'd download Spybot S&D v1.3 (available at http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ ) to take care of spyware/adware that Ad-Aware might miss (which can be quite a bit in some cases). The MS security stuff is good...considering it comes from an OEM manufacturer, but it won't stop everything (or much of anything, really) in the form of spyware/malware/adware. That's why you gots to have the Spybot and Ad-Aware, mang!
