My brother has been talking about it..but then I finally got him to admit that he'd probably get bored with it after a couple of months.
Seeing how he has a ps2 and ipod already, I don't see why a psp is needed...
Then agian, you men always have to have some sort of new toy.

Well, my best friend actually joined the launch frenzy and waited 6 dam hours at the Sony Metreon (Sony's only entertainment central in the US, located in SF). I think if anybody pays 250$ for an Ipod/Ipod Mini (which I sadly did....and I bought the Shuffle :o)...this thing is worth it. Screen quality is way too nice and the sound quality is respectable. Best thing is it works like a portable harddrive, you can store movies/mp3/porn (...) onto the removable memory sticks (which is like 200$ for a 1GB). It's a waste of money, but what isn't these days? Gas is 2.65 here in SF, and if ppl can spend 3,000 dollars on a turbo kit, then the 250$ for this dandy gadget isn't that bad after all  .

where do you put the cd in this thing????

They dont use cd's they use a new type of media.
I cant believe 1gb is $200! What a huge waste of money. If someone is only using that for video, its not a lot...sound its a total waste because 1gb md's are only $5.
How much space is there on the hd?
I think its also got a design flaw. How protected is the screen? It looks like it could get scratched/damaged so easy.

new stuff... they can charge whatever for the first few months cause they know people will pay it. once the off brand companies start making memory cards im guessing it will fall to at least a someone reasonable cost.

yea i think they use those SD cards my portable dvd player has a slot for a SD card, "off brand" companies already make those cards, there not that much $$, you can get a 1gig sd card on ebay for like 50 bucks

The new type of media disc is called a UMD, a mini-DVD that stores an amazing 6gb of data. You put the umd through the back (the part that has PSP engraved). It doesn't have a hard drive in it...I was referring to it having the potential to be one since you can stick a 1gb memory stick in there..........................

I like it, and I'd like to have one but I think I'll wait a while for the price to come down a little.
