you might want to replace a few other easily accessible bearings and then maybe the seals as well, also just keep track of how the mainshaft/countershaft/shift fork assembly all go together as well as how the little shift arms should be. and clean the magnet.
and go ahead and throw in a quaife ;)

Bought one last night ($65 on ebay...blew my mind).

its called liquid gasket the part # is 08718-0001 the allen wrench you'll need is a 8mm, which you use to take out the sealing bolt that lets you access the snap ring.

How many of you can get friction modified tranny fluid OUTSIDE the GM dealer?
I went to 4 stores and none of them carried it. You'd think here, of all places, would have it in every store.

Because lucas sells something that totally destroys oil, I refuse to buy anything from them.
Forget it...I'll use the honda mtf

Total L7, I know...
I already HAVE the honda mtf though...Ive got at least 1gallon of it left over from the last "group tranny flush" that my friends and I did last spring. (The guy that bought it thought it was 4qts each.)
FINE...I'll hunt some down tomorrow....
