It really is...i don't get it..If you need to get a hold of them. Phone them. I don't understand it at all. Tonight a gurl at work was talking to another gurl and was like "hey can I borrow your phone to text message jen. She's at home and I want to see what she's doing?"
First off. She's at home....PHONE HER....Second off...she's got a cell...PHONE HER....third....she's got two phones in front of her...PHONE HER!!!! Bah..i don't get it....stupid fucking FUCks'jasdhaiowgh

txt messaging is only good for quick messages example: "dont forget the beer" or something like that.not full conversations.

Not once have I ever used the text message on my phone. I think it will slowly destroy the english language since it takes an insanely long amount of time to type out coherent sentences. But then again, chances are if you've memorized the keypad to do it quickly you use lots of dipshit abbreviations that would give me cancer if I ever saw them. Like when people replace "why" with "y" or type "before" as "b4". ARRRGH! Kill 'em all!

I use it to get girls to either go somewhere to eat with me or come to my apartment... I don't want to talk to them, so text messaging is the best way... then I can get what I really want. ;)

I work at Cingular..I am so glad you guys aren't my customers because I would make ZERO commission off of you anti-texters. :D
I text because I know that if I call someone, I'll actually have to have a conversation with em. It's the main source for me to stay in touch with my high school friends.

I have 500 texts a month, and I usually go over. I'm at the bars maybe 4-5 times per week, and it's too loud to call someone. You spend your whole time yelling "WHAT?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU! IT'S TOO LOUD!" It's a waste of minutes. You text someone with "We're here. Come meet us." It's great! I also use it in class, but not nearly so much.
Sometimes a call is either not an option or not practical. Text is awesome in those cases. If calling is feasible, I choose that first. If not, text is the shit.

I guess I can kind of see where you guys are coming from. If needed, then use it.

I dont really like text messaging either I had one friend who would send me like 10 a day all really stupid things, that were hard to understand. When i text people it costs me money. Im not much of a talker but I would rather have someone call me, if possible
