In order to reach a wider range of people, Im putting this survey up for you all to answer a few questions...please be as honest as you can.

1) Have you taken an antibiotic within the last yr?
2) What was it for?
3) Did you finish the prescription?
4) Do you know what can happen if you do NOT finish the prescription? (simple yes or no)

Please help me out everyone! :)

For those that dont know what happens when you dont finish:

By not finishing a prescription of antibiotics you are increasing the risk of another infection by more resistant bacteria. Not just to you, but the entire population.
Think of it this way: You killed all but the hardiest of bugs, which are now wounded. If the body does not act quickly and remove the wounded bacteria you run a VERY high risk of getting whatever problem you had again, but this time the same antibiotic will not work...so you step it up. More than likely, not finishing the 2nd batch either...and the process repeats.
Not to come off as a jerk, but its people like you, who do not finish a prescription, who are adding to the problem that we soon will run out of effective antibiotics.
If you want to know what this has led to, go to http://www.zyvox.com and click on "I am a health care professional" - wait for all 3 images to load and circle.
The bacteria that did that to human flesh is what we are cultivating by overusing and not finishing antibiotics. We cannot fight that so easily....

Now you know :)
ALWAYS finish antibiotics

Problem is, the something stronger: it took 35years to make something that actually worked on mrsa/vrsa. We're running of time on some cases.
World Health Organization is saying that w/in 10years antibiotics will be phased out and replaced by vaccines.......I don't buy it.

hmm... i'd like to clarify my answer... in the past ive always (except once that i can recall) finished my antibiotics. i never knew it was that bad, i knew you could get sick again and that the same medicine wouldnt work... but never put 2 and 2 together
