I've e-mail sema and they stated that you must be a member of the automotive industry to go to the SEMA show in Las Vegas. I have a buddy who works for BMW but he is not even allowed a guest, only spouses. If anyone knows a way around all this bullshit, and actually knows a way of attending, i would really like to know. 2 million square feet of floor space and they can't let in a few outsiders....shit! They said you need proof with ID or a pay stub.

They let "outsiders" in...just not that many. A few of my professors went last year. And, of course, the press.

Dude...if you haven't gotten an invite or figured it out by now, it's not going to happen.

Maybe if you hadn't gotten so impatient we wouldn't have been such dicks. You asked a question, didn't like the answers you got, then got pissy. Bottom line? You're not going to SEMA. Does that answer your question?

proving my point is not helping my situation, i thought you people were into cars and sema is something you should be thinking of attending, moreover trying to find a way to attend. i'm not doing this just fo me i'm trying to help all the dorky tuner wannabees in here.

Of course I'm interested in SEMA...I'm an auto tech major. That doesn't mean I'm above picking up ANY car mag after SEMA's over and reading all about it (including those nice glossy photos). Seriously...for the last few years (at the very least), magazines and websites have been all over SEMA. I'm sure I'll attend one day, but for now I honestly don't care that I'm not going. Besides...most of the stuff shown there is just repackaged or mildly changed products you saw a few years ago. OOOOHHHH...Borla is making a new catback for the Cobalt SS...be still, my beating heart! That's the kind of shit you'll see at SEMA. It's not like they're unveiling huge secret weapons. I mean...do you really care that Edelbrock has a new race head for BB Chevys?

Honestly, I could care less about sema.
Am I near where its held? No
Will there be tons of coverage on it everywhere I turn? Yes
Will it mostly be a bunch of stuff I dont care about anyway? Yes

If you dont like it...leave. We dont care what you have to say on the topic.

Hey! Look! Lokar is making new billet throttle stops for Ford hotrods! BBS is making more wheels that look exactly the same! Painless Wiring is making it's 10th Mustang engine swap harness! Tokico is rolling out it's line of 50 way adjustable shocks because 5 settings isn't enough! Joy!

Your a tool.

You can on the other hand help us. Consider sleeping with a disease infested hooker.

I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

I got to see the biggest thing at SEMA before SEMA ever happened. A friend of mine helped build this truck. The owner is probably one of the nicest, most humble people I'd ever met. This things a monter!

I have a bunch more pics if anyone is interested.

This thing is freaking nuts... The engine in this thing pushing over 1000hp! Its not all show, though thats all its for. Its no joke thats for sure. He ended up getting sponsered by MTX, and didn't even mean to.

I've seen that before, I believe. Isn't it called "Hero" or something like that? Can't hardly forget all that airbrushing. But it's a shame to build a motor like that and never really use it.

Racing Rice
02-27-2005, 08:41 AM
Yes its the Heros truck. Its been on TV and in magazines. Pictures don't do the truck justice though. The amount of detail in the airbrush is just insane.
