Ok...so after reading Darin's thread about going to see the movie Ong-Bak, I was inspired to seek out a movie I'd been putting off from the same director. So...I did find it...and man, it's messed up. I've come to the conclusion that Thai people are insane...or maybe they just need money really bad. Want proof? Watch the clip linked below and remember there are (like Ong-Bak) no wires, nets, mats, or computer graphics. It's all just people getting hurt. Enjoy.

It's that, use your paycheck for this month and you can live like a King in Thailand for quite a few weeks.

It's just a shame it's no subbed.;(
EDIT: Is it just me, or did that one guy come ridiculously close to getting his head taken off by that semi after he hit the ground?

This I know. I'm going to watch that movie tonight...subs or no subs. I figure a movie like that won't have much in the dialogue, anyway.

The guns WERE real...but so were the blanks.:D Actually, there's probably only about 10 minutes worth of dialogue total in the whole 90 minute movie, so lack of subtitles is hardly a problem. You totally get what's going on.

It so would have been cooler if that semi truck ran over his head.

Yes. No computers. So if that truck had run over his head, he would've died for real.

I got it from The Pirate Bay (bittorrent tracker) which can be found at http://tracker.piratbyran.org/frame.html . Just do a search for "Born To Fight". You can also find a few copies here and there on Egay...but none of them are subbed, either. Like I said...lack of subs is not an issue since the dialogue is next to nothing. It's just non-stop ass-kickery.

I know...it's Swedish. But Swedish is *kind* of close to German, so I can make out some of it. Use the box that says "sök" to search (since that's what "sök" means). Things like Film, Porr, and Anime are pretty self explanatory. "Bilder" is for pictures, and "Spel" is console games. I found a few listings for Naruto under Anime, but none were "The Movie". It was mostly episodes and seasons. Oh...and you can make your search inquiries in english. About 3/4 of the stuff on that site is listed in english.

Steve you are the fawking man bro! i just finished watching that movie. I must say that it is one of the best movie that I've seen in a long while. The stunts are pure.... undescribable! Didnt need to have it subbed/dubbed. The story is very simple and it's full of emotions. It didnt take long for me to catch up on the story line. i highly recommend this movie to people who enjoys crazy ass stunts done very raw. Got anymore for me mang?

Well...Ong-Bak is directed by the guy who produced Born To Fight and has a lot of the same stuff...the stunts just aren't as hardcore for the most part. Tony Jaa is amazing in it and all of the stunts (save the arena fighting scenes) are all full contact without nets, wires, etc. Another great (though not as stunt-involved) Thai film is Bang Rajan. It's an adaptation of a true story about the village of Bang Rajan in 1765 when something like 50 guys fought off 100,000 Burmese invaders (though, of course, not all at once). That movie walked a fine line of being ridiculously brutal and emotional without being gorey or ridiculously violent. As for any of my other picks...just go to my weblog (the "www" link at the bottom there). It's pretty much got every movie I've seen in the last year or so reviewed on it. Oh...and also go watch Kung Fu Hustle...a hilarious action flick from Stephen Chow (the man who also brought us the great Shaolin Soccer). That one had crazy good special effects and a solid story...plus I laughed my ass off. Good stuff.
