ive been planning to get 2-10 inch subs. ive narrowed it down to 2, the infinity perfects and the alpine type r becuase they are very good for the money. which is better? and plz tell why u believe so.

-let me give u some info about me 1st. i love to hear that bass hit hard and loud and i listen to just about everything except country. i prefer SQ over SPL but wouldnt mind some of both.

-and for the subs is best, what kind of amp should i run to power them both. mono? 2 channel? how many watts?

i would go with the perfects and i would go for the mono amp. check out rockford mono amps on ebay. they are one of the best mono amps. next to mtx mono amps.

why perfects over type-r's, because the type r's are heavy as shit!!!

edit: plus the perfects are good for open air enclosures, and the type rs require a big box

Either way you go.. you would need a monoblock amp if you got DUAL 2 OHMS, but id get a 2 channel if you get DUAL 4 OHMS. The old school rockfords are good amps.. like an 800a2 (if you got the dual 4 ohms) and they run anywhere from 250-350
