Anyone have any? We just bought a 20 gallon tank Friday, we put it all together and now have a few small fishies in it until the cycling process is done.
So what do you have? I'll try to post some pics when I can get my computer to stay running long enough.

Me and my friend were going to put together a huge ass salt water tank. He has a 55 gallon tank. Then we did all the estimate and the one we wanted to create costed about 9 grand for what we wanted so we said fuck that.

^ I know what you mean. My parents, too, have a 60gallon saltwater tank on a built in shelved wall. I'll hafta take pics next time I visit them. Cleaning is a bitch because they don't do it all at once. They do it little by little because some specialist told em that. [shrugs] We have two Siamese ALgea Eaters in there and they eat the plant more than they actually clean the tank. I dunno, salt water fish seems dumb in comparison to fresh water.

I used to have a 40 gallon salt water tank at my apartment back at Ga Southern.. My roomie was working on it and I bought her 3 seahorses, a sea cucumber, and a sea star. The sea star and one of the sea horses are still living.. the others died :(. Our next door neighbors at our townhouse complex had 140 gallon salt water tank and had imported all his stuff from miami coast. The boy has moneh!!!!

Salt water tanks are nice, but me being a begginner figured I'd try to get a Fresh Water tank up and running first. I'll be happy if I can keep these alive. :D

Is that an iridescent shark? If so, that thing will get BIG too.

You realize that your "shark" (also a catfish) will get bigger than your pirhannas right? We're talking feet here, not inches....

That's a pretty common misconception. Very few fish do that. Goldfish do. Which is probably where that came from.

Yeah it's an ID shark. They said it will get about 13 inches.

I used to have piranhas, too, but they died after we moved and got rid of the fresh water tank. Are they illegal in any of the states you guys live in? I used to buy the $0.89 goldfish to feed to the Piranhas and remember the employees at Petsmart told me they were illegal..

Dude whered you get your shark fish and your pirhanas? I would love to have some.

I got the shark from Big Al's, and the pirhannas I got from Super Pet.

ID sharks have been known to grow over 48" in the right condition. That probably wont happen in a tank, but it really depends on how you feed him. He will probably grow closer to 20" or so.
I can buy a Red - Bellied Pirannah from the local pet store, so I'm guessing they are legal here.

Pirhannas are legal here (oHIo). Or at least I can buy them from the fish store.
