cigarettes... how are you all doing? i think im done... my goal for new years was to set a plan to quit before the end of january. and i picked the end of the first week of school, which was thrusday for me. ive held strong, even with friends throwing cigarettes at me trying to get me to smoke again(good influence aye?). its now reaching the 72 hr mark, and i think the nic fits are starting to stop, but i havnt worked yet since then and thats where they come out the most.

The third day is the hardest. That's when your blood stream will pick up an get rid of the carbon monoxide and pick up more oxygen. It makes it a total bitch to sleep. Perhaps some Ambien is in order?:D Also, Wellbutrin will help you stop smoking. I don't know how, but it worked for my brother.
what is wellbutrin?
I've actually tried to quit smoking like once, and i didn't do very well on that attempt, but i really want to...

It's actually an anti-depressant. For some reason it helps people quit smoking. I'm not sure if it's a chemical compoud in the drug or if it puts you in a certain frame of mind. Maybe check out webmd. I honestly haven't a clue how it works...but apparently it does.
oh, ok
I'm sure it has nothing to do with smoking nor was it made for it. It probably just makes you "happy" with your current state so you don't need a cigg.

Actually some doctors will prescribe it just to help you quit smoking.

Ok...here's how it is. Wellbutrin (antidepressant) is Bupropion. Zyban (helps you quit smoking) is Bupropion hydrochloride. Same stuff. Apparently no one knows why it does, but it does.

Not sure...but I doubt it. Wellbutrin is by prescription...and Zyban is the same stuff.

Why are you guys so close to begin with? :paranoid:
A pack a day seems like a lot. Holy Jeebus.
I don't smoke, never have, and I think I'd probably choke my first attempt as I don't "know" how.
Does gum actually help you guys stop smoking?

What is this laser thing you can get? One of our managers smokes 1.5 packs a day and is planning on getting this laser procedure to help him quit. Apparently they shoot a laser right behind your ear or something like that.
Anyone have any more information?
GT40FIED

I've heard of it. Apparently it's just like acupuncture...but with lasers. They shoot a low level laser at various parts of your body and somehow it's supposed to help you quit. Check out http://www.laserconcept.com/smoking.php

More like it sounds stupid. It's just a new twist on hollistic medicine...but with hi-tech stuff so people are willing to pay more for it. You could just go to an old Chinese guy for the same treatment...without bullshit lasers.

haha, i hate to say it but i dont even really want to quit anymore. it was a somewhat fun novelty, but i said that i could quit any time i wanted, and for newyears i set an exact date that no one believed i would be able to stick to, now its almost just to prove to those who doubted me
