It's not something I'd do but I wouldn't be such a hater upon it. Heh, hell of a lot more money than I have to dump in my car, that's for sure. Don't forget to think of the word, "uniqueness," haters.

First of all the thing in it's current state looks like ass. A finished product might be cool, but I don't trust cars that are all show, no go (look at all the body work with no motor/tranny...this guy isn't a racer). This troubled me too..."car has been sitting for 9 months and I know longer have time for it...... must sell, moving and getting married". First of all...if the man isn't aware of the difference between "know" and "no", I wouldn't trust him to build a car. Secondly, I don't know many people who have a lack of time, a marriage, and a move all at once. Something tells me he got sick of fucking with the thing.

what gets me is the fact there are 6 bids on that bad boy... I just dont understand why he would start something that big an not finish and expect someone else to buy it to continue it.. and Lyna yes I am being a hater cause it at the current moment what he is selling looks like ass...

^ lol. Shitty man, I still wouldn't hate. Then again, I'm not you.
Actually, it looks like ass, why? because it's primered and you know merely nothing else about his car? How many of those cars do you see..not alone on a given day, but even in magazines?

Ah, now I get what you mean in the other hread as to me picking at your posts the past few days, :D

Sure, it looks shitty right now, but with that kind of work into a civic and not get props? Haha, hater.

Thought it is a show car and not a race car, I still respect the fact that it's something. I guess that's in response to Steve. I always get the point across to people that I also respect show cars. However, you have a very good point that I wish I would've taken the time to read on eBay about his excuses. Good analysis.

In my mind all show no go cars are like male interior decoraters...there's just no need for them and they're a little fruity. Even after the paint and whatnot is done, I still think it'd look like ass. But that's me. I guess I'm a "hater" (man I hate it when people use that phrase).

You are such a hater. :D
Ignorant sounds too blunt in some cases, so I try to avoid it.

In my mind, show cars are still respectable because it sets a goal..to be clean.

I'd agree if you replaced "ignorance' with "opinion". It's a car. There's no right or wrong way to look at it.

or you could not look at it at all, like me.

MissJDM

I still think there's a wrong way to look at it. You can totally underestimate a car based on its outter appearance assuming that the motor is physically weak. Isn't that "wrong" to make such a vague assumption and further your thoughts with negative points based on nothing but a mere image?

No. It's subjective. You like it...I don't. Is one of us right? No. Neither of us is wrong either.

in the end it's word against word, one's opinion is not worth more than the next. of course this is where we as humans will argue to the end of our days

MissJDM
01-11-2005, 02:15 AM
It's not wrong as in politically correctness, it's just wrong as in how the mind boggles. Opinions aren't WRONG in terms of opposite of RIGHT, but wrong as in "not according to the moral standard."

Get what I mean?

I know well enough that if someone doesn't like beer for they believe it makes you a bad person...does not mean they're WRONG but their opinion is WRONg because it's not valid. It doesn't go for all, it's almost a biased comment based on..nothing.

No...they're opinion is in fact not wrong. It's subjectivity. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's wrong. Hell...the rest of the world could disagree and it doesn't make it right. There's no reality, only perception. When it comes to matters of opinion, there is absolutely no such thing as right or wrong no matter how bad you want there to be.

You're using the word WRONG with technicalities, which I understand. I'm using the word WRONG in this situation being viewed as not making sense. Not standing ground. Not being whole and standing with correction.

My whole point was seeing as there was no motor in it, it wasnt worth much.. maybe if someone bought it and added a motor in it.. and did some mods under the hood it might be worth something.. but I didnt understand why he would take all the time and money to do that to the civic and not put a motor under there, but sell it for someone else to do....talk about pride</>..

Del: I was just thinking that. It sounds cheesy later as you re read it, but I think most of us type random, lame gay jokes because it's what comes to mind first when we think of Darin. or vice versa.

Preference is it, but that's what I mean by enthusiasm.

PS. I'll race you on my 49cc pocket bike =P
