ABS Code

Yes my friend Kohns 94 Accord which I just discovered, has an ABS CODE of 5 4. ( rear wheel lock - R) Can someone please tell me what this means, and what i need to do to fix it?

Is it really important to have fixed right away, or will just the abs feature of my car not work?

well i think one of the sensors took a dump. i don't think that requires immediate attention, but the wheel will lock when slamming on the brakes

but ABS will not work with out the sensor right?

it won't work for that wheel only. the other 3 will work

that sounds rather bad. how much is a new sensor?

i need more details about the car, like tranny, trim and number of doors

if the abs system has a problem it wont work at all so that it want mess up any other section of it. almost the same as if your vtec system were to have a problem it will keep your motor from engaging vtec by lowing your rev limiter so that none of the componets will be damaged
