I just drove back from new mexico to indiana and in st.louis when i got gas i noticed that about an hour and half later i looked down and noticed i was at half tank. checked the milage and at 100 miles half tank. I checked for any kind of gas leak nothing.....and just wondering if anyone has had this problem or is just because I went from 9200 feet alt. to like sea level in 2 days causes that. any kind of help would be much appreciated. Also, my maint. reqd . light is on and the last service was supposed to be at 50k which I am almost 3k over and never noticed it. Could it be from the fuel problems?

U havent been using Arco gas have you?
The matinence req'd light isnt nothing to do with your engine condition. It just means that Its time to get something done. It automatically does it every 5k miles or so.
To turn off the light:
1)hold the mileage button for 15 seconds.
2) Turn key one knob
Keep testing. Its not that hard.
You should be good til 5k mileage or more if you use synthetic
1)make sure

maintenance req'd light has nothing to do with the engine :o
i assume you mean with the gas mileage, but in any case perhaps a new fuel filter could help a little?

there should be no reason to change a fuel filter on a 2002.
like hondaman said you might not have filled it completely up or maybe that check engine light is trying to tell you something. Autozone should be able to check it for free.

No, I didint fill up the same amount each time......I never thought aboyut auto zone checking it for me thats a good idea. I know I ifll it up completely because after it stops I usually squeez another dollar or so in....Do you guys think that by pulling the battery cable and "resetting the ecu" and then letting it run and drive it around in this cold ass weather would help? If that doesnt I will take it to auto zone and have them look at it (check engine light) and if they cant say off to the dealer with me (DAMN!);(
