i like the new layout of the site. putting all honda and acura in one list.

i got a couple of suggestions.

you should drop all the mods who are currently un-active. get new mods who are interested and port daily.

get rid of all user accounts that have no posts or under 100. they are wasting the sites space. or hell get rid all accounts that havent been used for the longest time.

shut up. anyway if we get rid of the inactive mods the active ones will take the other forums. there are not too many users to moderate on. until this board gets a new lease on life there will be no more mods.

Eliminating inactive users would be the biggest pain in the ass, I would assume. Though it is a good idea, and we have thought about the bit of removing dead mods.

If you havent noticed, www.hstuners.com takes you directly to the forums, instead of the super-dated main page now too.

^yes i did notice that. my friend was questioning why the same car has been the car of the month. IMO it didn't say too much about the site:no:
i had to sit and explain/protect HS's name to a few people because of it.
well if dead mods do get kicked then I'd be here volunteering for a mod job:wave:

how hard can it be? you look at the list and see that there only 15-20 people active right now. :o

the mods deffently need to be rid of. even if you dont appoint new ones.

I don't see why you care if we delete inactive users!?!? How does it affect you? That would be a pain in the ass....

Anyway, if we do demote the mods that haven't been here for a long time (and I think we should), other mods will just take over...

im just thinkin of the site. having all these inactive users is waste of the sites memory. who cares who takes the mods spots. i dont, only darin does.

:EDIT: if you think its a pain in the ass and thats the only reason keeping you from do this. ill fawkin do it. :EDIT:

the memory occupied is very small. not really worth the time and pain in the ass

i honestly dont care that much about being mod. I feel that the ones that ARE active are doing a damn good job and keeping this site on track

Doesn't really waste any crazy amount of memory. Also, I doubt Kalvin will give you server rights / admin priv's just to clean out the database :) Its really no big deal unless we get many, many, more old users.

Kalvin updates... he owns the site. You can't just give people server rights for security reasons. Mods don't even have them.

Even if space is space... say you have 80 GB free (hypothetical) and all of the users are taking up a few MB. Why take the time to weed them out? I don't think that they slow down queries too much either.
