View Full Version : Why must I keep hurting myself?

So tonight as I sat down to my desk, I spun my chair around and smacked my pinky toe against the inside corner of my desk. It hurt...but I've done it a thousand times before. Then I noticed blood. A pain in the ass, but nothing too bad, right? Wrong. Aparrently I cracked most of my toenail and that had to be clipped otherwise it would just hang there. then I realized we have no band-aids in the house. Perfect. So we bandaged it up as best we could using Neosporin, toilet paper, and scotch tape. You know..McGyver style. Big thanks to Rob (not moderator Rob...my roommate Rob) for the help in piecing it back together as I cannot adequately reach my own feet properly. Man...I'm an idiot for hurting myself so much. My finger hasn't even healed right...and now this.

Awww, poor baby! What's going on? Are you upset about something that's keeping your mind else where? I get kinda clumsy myself when I think about other things and get so caught up in my thoughts that I don't pay much attention to anything else then usually end up doing what you just did. That offer to kiss your boo boos still stands...........;)

Seems like youve got a streak of bad luck starting. Just remember that those come in sets of 3, so youve got one more comin to ya.

Hmmm...does that fall I took a few months ago when I tore up my leg count? If so, I should be in the clear. No...I'm off to buy band aids.

You think that's bad...my jacket is starting to turn against me. I get out to fill up the car and the wind is so fierce my jacket zipper flies up hits my nose and at the same time the zipper hits me the winds pushes at me really hard so I fall on my ass   bah... now my nose has a cut and a small bruise. (not as bad as yours but equally as messed up)

Man...sooooo much you don't know. Not to mention chicks apparently don't take too well to dating a guy with short arms. But then again, this isn't The Battle Of The Sexes forum.

No...I'm not looking at all. Once you go looking you'll end up settling and I'm not about to do that. That said...women aren't exactly tripping over themselves to talk to me.

No no...you misunderstand me. I don't mean "settle down". I mean I don't want to go out looking and just settle for the first girl that comes along. Generally people who are actively looking to get involved with someone have slightly lower standards than if they were just living life. And as for having kids...oh I don't think so. I'm cool with everything else...just not having kids.

Hmmm...I guess your sister doesn't have a genetic disorder that she hads a 60%-80% chance of passing on. THAT'S why I'm never having kids. That and kids piss me off.

i don't mean to be prying steve, but if you have a 60-80% chance of passing it, how'd you get it? does one of you parents have the same disorder or is it one of those hidden gene things.

My mother has it...sort of. The only way you'd even know is if you looked closely at her hands. Her thumbs are slightly malformed. But she was what is known as a "spontaneous mutation" (medicine has such lovely terms for things, huh?). Neither of her parents had it. My brother is more of a carrier. He has some of the effects, but you'd never know it to look at him.
