so there were alot of new legislature in some sates, in florida for instance im 99% sure the minimum wage got knocked up to $6.15. i dont think my boss is going to raise my pay as im just a few coins above that, even though over 75% of our staff is below it and they will all be getting raises.

i saw stem cell research passed in cali, and i think every state that had a gay marrage amendment voted it to not be legal. montana passed medical marijuana by a decent margin, where oregon and another state it did not pass

anything intersting happen in your state

Why the hell is minimum wage in FL and CA so much lower than Oregon? We're at $7.05 and only one small liberal city has food taxes.. the cost of living in CA and FL is so much higher, so why such a low budget?

In Oregon, medical marijuana was already legal. The current measure was to provide dispensaries for people who were not able to grow it themselves and some other stuff. It still didn't pass though.

Maybe they're smarter than us. The much higher than average minimum wage in Oregon hurts the small business owners. Everyone complains because there are no jobs, but they don't stop to think that it can be directly related to the fact that employers can't pay anyone else. A company with 6 employees on the floor at a time could have another employee working if the minimum wage was even a dollar less.
