this is a city light
(Some preludes in the states have them too)

There are 2 explanations for their existance
1) For driving in well light city areas at night, when headlights arent really needed
2) When stopping at an intersection, in japan, people turn off their headlights, so they do not blind the person across the street. But you can still see the car because of the city lights.

In Japan, corner lights are only for signalling; theyre not on with the headlights. Same goes for most of Europe

(If you need sockets for them, I know for a FACT that the license plate light socket is the exact same socket for oem city lights.)

So really...there isn't much of a difference between city lights and DRL's? (daytime running lights?)

hey pat how do you have your city lights wired?

when I first had them installed, I did it the proper way - corners off
After a few weeks I rewired the corner up. Which is how it still is.
(Corner + city light are on at the same time)

you just splice it into the corner's red wire and call it done.
