Just got a new 05 legacy wagon... base model no options.

Got a SICK price on it... I think.... I got it for 21,400 which I'm told by the dealer is 74 dollars under invoice... edmunds says it's 20,589...

Either way...

I was SOOO foaming at the mouth for a GT (it's turbo charged now so it's got 260 hp...) I test drove it and it was a monster of a car... but out of the question for the time being...

I'm gunna be changing jobs soon... the junkyard sucks.

The car is unbelievably nice for a base model stripped 21g wagon...

It's silver and it's got 203 miles on it parked next to my civic with 203 THOUSAND miles on it.

I spent the day today watching my kids (they're doing great)... and detailing the car. It's sooo nice.

I was scarred it was going to be a pig but it's not that slow at all... plenty of go. Runs a little rough at times but I'm still breaking it in so we'll see. Should have a thousand miles on it in a week or so.

If someone's got some server space I'll post some pics... otherwise I don't really have any space and I'm too lazy and tired to find a free server...

Oh and I've been working with a friend of mine's neighbor who's an electrician... he's been giving me 160 bucks a day for 8hrs or under a day and buying me breakfast and lunch every day I work with him... it's spuratic but I made more in one day there then I got from my paycheck at my craphole junkyard job.

Anyway comments questions welcome.

Yeah the interior is pimp... I REALLY hate new car interior's too... but this thing is sick..

IT IS NOT A GT... I wish it were but it was just not an option now... I may get one down the line now though... this car is great..

It drives VERY similarly to a civic it's just a touch bigger. I really like it so far and the base isn't too much of a pig... it's got 168 hp as opposed to the 260 of the GT...

Tons of room great driving no complaints so far except the framless doors... I don't like the window floating like that it makes the door sound clunky closing (not any where as tinny as the civic sounds) and the design doesn't provide for very good sealing... the first time I washed it a TINY amount of water made it through the the inside of the pass. rear window... Not too likely it'll encounter sideways shooting water at pressure on the road but they should understand people wash their cars.

Anyway thanks everyone I'm off to wax it.

Yeah I still have the civic but it's in sorry shape at this point...

It runs great but it's got a blown HG 203k miles the tranny is about to go and there's body damage from mild to severe on EVERY panel of the car...

I'm probobly going to keep it registered to teach my wife to drive stick and then take it off insurance and store it at my dad's house upstate and work on it when I have time and money...

Not sure if I'll do a motor/tranny swap or just rebuild the d16 and stock trans... probobly smarter to do a swap at this point... but I really like the d16.

I'm being lazy about getting pics up cuz I've been busy as all hell lately... I just quite my junkyard job yesterday... the owner's brother sucks ass so I just told him to go F the other day...

I've been watching the kids a lot, working for my buddie's neighgbor, and dealing with the new car... also have to find a career type job real soon... I guess I'm gunna bite the bullet and get a job in my dad's business (not for him just in that industry).

I'll get the pics up in the next day or two... Already detailed the whole car... but I got to do it all again... I was really disappointed with the state of the new car.. the dash and door panels didn't seem to be coated with any kind of protectant... it's all plastic so I'm just gunna stick with armor all... I've had nothing but good experiences with it in the past.

cars all broken in... got 1125 miles on it or so already.. it runs good but it has almost no acceleration at this point... I know that the computer adjusts to your driving style so I've been driving really concervitavely to break it in so... it may get more aggressive as my driving does...

It's not a pig by any stretch but it is definately in need of tweaking. and it needs a suspension... I just want eibach prgressive springs and some adjustable struts... but modifiing it any further than a k&n filter and maybe an exhaust is out of the question for a while.
