Can anyone tell me a good brand?
are ebay knock-offs worth 50$?
The only converters I see are bomz and megan. Is there any other? and also, will I pass emissions with the high flow cat on?
I have only added legal parts such as, greddy, aem, and dc sports so I dont want one thing to ruin my smog test. Thanks for any advice in advance.

just so you know those "hi flo cat" that they are tryin' to sell you are not exactly a catalytic converter, they are just straight pipe, which means that replacing your stock piece with the "straight pipe" will result in you failing the emission/smog test. they might be worth the money if you are turbocharged, don'plan on getting the car tested, and if they fit perfect

so what should i look for then? can you be more specific? is there other alternatives?
what kind of catalytic converter should i get then?

get a straight pipe and a o2 sensor simulator, then swap them out for emissions tests.

i would keep a cat on there. if it were me i would get the carsound/magnaflow ones. they even come with a certificate they are DOT approved.

If you want to swap the pipe and cat everytime you go in for testing, thats fine. (Just hope you dont get caught with it, or youre screwed.)
From my observations, you never do your own work and a shop wouldnt install a test pipe for you anyway, let alone swap them back and forth every time you need to be tested.

what you talking about man. I do whatever I think I can do. Sometimes its too complicated, unlike AEM products most of them are easy to install except for the cam gears. Most mods I put in my car was done myself. I installed many things like honda ashtray, leather wrap, intake, pulleys, sound system and many more to come.
