Virus Need Help!!!!!

ok i went to install counter strike on my compy and it said i've got a virus i wen and searched and d'led a program and it came i ahve a virus called win95cih2003 or something of that note any body no a free program i can dl to get rid of it i wanna play cs BAD!!!!!

Ohh shit it's a cih virus. usually those will open a port in your computer and let it wide open to others to see your files. Is that virus in the CS ? Where did you get CS from ? Norton AV will do a nice job removing it. Stay away from McAfee, it tends to do nothing about them. BTW the CIH virus is a memory resident program, so it is kind of hard to remove them. Here is a tool to disable the CIH viruses. you need to run it then run your antivirus program.

I suggest you run the AVG antivirus. Very good one, plus its free. 100 % functional.

Thanks for the Norton advice it found 274 files w/ cih and
repaired 273 and quarintined(SP) 1 now i will try cs again!!!

viruses suck.. We had problems with them all the time at work when we got our email put in.. But its all good now, We have a nice expensive virus scanning email program.
