So I was walking outside last night and took a step off of my porch and slipped on a poorly placed welcome mat. Well...I didn't slip...the mat slid out. Anyway, In the course of my dumb ass hitting the ground I skinned my knee and got a good case of road rash all along the side of my leg along with a bruised muscle. It's funny...the part that was bleeding, my knee, didn't hurt a bit. But the rest of my leg hurts like a bastard. Anybody know of any way I can at least dull the pain? Alcohol seems to work (the drinking kind, not the rubbing kind) but I can't really go around drunk all day. That's just for nighttime:thumbsup:. Any other ideas?

Honestly dude, I had a bike fall on my leg once. And left my leg cut and a big ass bruise. The only way it stopped was when I was drunk.
My only shitty advice would be to deal with the pain. Unfortunately a bruise can't be healed with a lotion or a pill. Just time my friend.
So on that note. I got drunk. I hope you did also!

my friends uncle slipped on an iced over walkway outside of his old apartment that he lived in...well he sued and won a HUGE settlement because he f*cked up his hip and couldn't go to work for like 2 years

I'll try and take a picture tomorrow. It doesn't hurt all the time now...just when I move the wrong way or when my pants brush against it. So I believe I'll be going without pants around the house for a few days.:D
