Alright im due to have my dc sports 4-2-1 headers and my short ram slapped in around the end of the week. So im pretty much already down the all motor path (mainly because I dont have enough for turbo atm) since ive heard with a turbo it replaces both bolt-ons. Im curious what kind of minor work (around $200 or less) I can do to build up my d16. I understand I wont get any spectacular results but I have about 76k mi. so any minor rebuild work can help for slightly better performance/reliability.

oil/oil filter change
tranny fluid change
brakes bled
coolant flushed
replace sparkplug wires
replace sparkplugs
replace cap/rotor
rotate tires/check air pressure
grease whatever needs to be greased
possibly replace o2 sensor
wash/good wax job

could always run nitrous. that is always the best bang for your buck!

youre not going to get much of anything for under $200.
Run some seafoam through it and then do what az suggested.
Whatever money you have leftover, save for something later. Maintenance is more important than power.
