Well i got my halo lights in. They look sick on my car, only problem is that the fitment around the edges sucked. You could seriously fit your index finger between the light and the fender, and the weather stripping they sent me blows.

but i found a solution to my problem.

After reading the write up about how to clear your stock lights in the how-to section, it gave me an idea,

the backs of my OE honda lights and my aftermarket ones are designed the same, it's just that the clear lens part was about a half inch too long on the aftermarket ones....

so after two hours of melting headlights, swearing, and burning myself, i managed to take my OE honda lenses and attach them to my aftermarket lights, (and vice versa, also cleared the honda's). So basically i have halo lights with honda lenses, and they fit near to perfect.

Right now i have my honda lights on just so i can silicone the aftermarket ones and make sure everything is perfect, but once i'm finally done i'll post up some pics...

one quick question along with all that though, what is good to remove the extremely sticky sealant on the headlights? I accidentally got some on the lens and it's hard to get off....

some pics would be cool. i did not have any problems removing the lenses since i used the oven and some oven mits. they came apart in 2 seconds flat ;)

Goo Gone, isopropylene (rubbing) alcohol, kerosene, or just about any off-the-shelf solvent should work just fine. Just make sure it's same for whatever materials you're using it on and be sure to clean it off extremely well afterwards.

I'll say GooGone too. Peanut butter also works, but it has to sit there for awhile.

I have always just used regular silicone to reseal around the edges and the left-over reheated honda glue to seat the main inner seal on the lights.

yes i siliconed the housings too, figured' i'd best do it right the first time because taking those out/putting them is is a bitch.

Try GooGone, peanut butter, or brake cleaner.
