By foreign, I mean Asian/Japanese. And since I threw USDM in there, it excludes Skylines, Civic Rs, Accord Rs, etc. Now...which one of the remaining contenders is the best?

you mean best of both usdm and jdm (since I doubt anyone will say kia is the best)?

Well...so long as they're on a production status in the US. Anything that doesn't have to be imported. And Stefan...an H22 Lude? Really? You do know thing like the NSX fall into this category.

yeah, basically, supra, 300zx, rx-7, 3000 GT are all good contenders. I also like the USDM ITR, they're hott.

See...now if it were me I would've picked the S2000 or the RX-7. The both handle like go karts and have a decent amount of power to back up their overall badassity. the NSX is close, but I've riden in one and it's not $70K-$90K worth of impressive (depending on the year). It handles like it's on rails, but it seriously lacks the grunt of a supercar.

i'd say rx7. i'd take a rx7 over a s2k personally. reliablity is going to be alot better with the s2k but i drove my friends 2sk a few times and really wasnt that impressed. not nearly as i was with a 300zxtt.

more cars in mind: S15 S14 MR2 Turbo 350Z RX-8 mazdaspeed Proteges are bad either.

What is it with turbo'ed cars? Slap a turbo on something and 15 years later people want insane amounts of money for them. Take a Buick GN, for instance. Nothing insane about them...but for one in even decent condition with relatively low miles (below 75K miles) you better be prepared to pay at least $10K. Is that turbo made of gold?
And SF...a Protege? Seriously? Wow...you just set the bar REALLY low.

supra tt, 300z tt, 1st gen eclipse/talon TSI/GSX, Galant VR4, EVO, RX-7 2nd and 3rd Gen (first too kinda but they need work), 1st gen 300z OWNED in racing although now they're kinda beat, Dodge Conquest/1st gen Supra,
Overall I think the Japanese high dollar cars SUCK ASS in america... Most aren't even worth considering IMO... but that's my opinion...
The only ones that are both fast and nice looking IMO are
Supra TT (Are they really "twin" turboes or are they sequential?)
300Z TT
RX-7 ST
I wouldn't even consider the acura NSX they're nice and all but I wouldn't even Consider that car for much over 50k.
