I have some old Solomon ST-8's but I need to get some new bearings also what abec and probably wheels got any suggestions?

i've always been a fan of senate wheels, although i got some bloods right now i picked up off clearance that i cant complain about. for berrings i'd get abec3's since your gonna want something that can take a beating but not pay a shit load for abec 5's your probobly gonna run through the dirt.

for the catologs... team paradise is no longer around, i think www.rollerwarehouse.com is still up and they have a catolog you can check.

you know I spent an half hour looking for that name rollerwarehouse.com...I used to receive their catalogs and I couldn't beat the name back into my sense. but for bearing you suggest abec3's...any brand in particular..I know Bones are supposed to be good, but I havent seen abec 3 being sold in Bones.

for wheels what size would be best for just street, I know different sizes are better for different styles, my friend and i are going to be constructing a funbox in a day or two, just to give an idea of what I'm gonna be doing more.

a few weeks I might consider buying new skates and I'm looking at something like the Salomon STPros...about $149 and I heard they have held up their reputation from other guys around.

i love my USD's. everything replacable, frame, cuffs, sole and toe plates. for wheel size im not too sure, but 54-60mm sounds about right depending on how big you want the wheels. lots of companies make abec3+ berrings, whats your price range cause you can easliy spend 20-80 on one skates worth or berrings. if your skating strictly street you might wana think about antirocker wheel setup (minis in the middle). i gave it up cause i skated too much ramp and i needed the 2 extra wheels for traction. for those i'd got with a 43 101a wheel in the middle.

edit

i was looking around onm the site, they have senate wheel/berring combos for $32 a skate. thats with abec5's.

ok well I tried to skate 2day....and damnit they are too small, they are a killer on my feet. so I'm gonna hit up a skate shop once this hurricane goes over hopefully by sunday or monday I'll have new ones. but I'm either gonna go USD or Salomon...or I was looking at rollerwarehouse and was thinking of putting together my own skate..but I dont know.....any particular good USD skates?

well, im still skating on their first style, the thrones i think. everything on them is customizable now, so if you wanted you could buy the boot, then pick your frame, wheels, and liner and have a very nice skate for pretty cheap and you know if anything ever goes wrong its not new skates, just the one particular part.

So did I. But then again I don't think the weather down in FL is nice enough for Darin and his boyfriend to go rollerblading now anyway. That's right Darin...you heard me. Haha. :flick:

btw I've never understood but whats with the hate among the Bikers, Boarders, and Skaters? I know it's not a huge thing but seriously whats with those that despise one or more of the three?

I don't really know. I lived in Houston until I was almost 8 and in Houston at the time you either skated or surfed...with a few trick bikers here and there. Seeing as how Galveston was 45 minutes away, I picked up skateboarding. Then again I can't really ride a bike and I've never so much as even set foot in a skating rink and wouldn't have a clue how to inline.

I hear ya, I guess it's really what the area does and it more favorable for...but I mean in St Pete...in highschool all my friends did one of the three if not more
i mean I hang with a mixed group. my best friend jsut bought his new $388 bike, my other friends have inlines and the other skateboards....we're kind of a weird group I guess

BTW Chris since this is somewhat on topic, I'm thinking of buying an Embargo hat or a shirt from you, thats if it's not strictly a certain skate type:bandit:

bikes all together are scary, so much can go wrong, an I preferably do not wish to gut myself with a handlebar:no:
