first of all, i THINK i'm doing the right thing by modifying my car this winter. Even tho it DOES have 189,000kms. anyways i'm preparing to invest about $5000 canadian or apx $3000US dollars into my 1998 prelude. And this will be ALL motor. So i'm wondering where YOU guys think would be a good start? This is what i'm thinking so far
The List:

-Get it port & polished
-Rebuilt engine (if not, just to get it to stop pushing black every now and then:no:)
-Header - DC Sports 4-2-1 ceremic,
-Exhaust - 2.5" piping from cat-back to some sort of muffler
-Cold Air - AEM true cold air intake

and i'm thinking, new performance clutch kit from Nopi.com and a lightened flywheel
(this one) (http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_part_detail.cfm?vmakeid=140&vmodelid=040&vcatyear=1998&vnopinum=365%2B4178&vTitle=HONDA%20Prelude%201998)

any other suggestions and or warnings?

suggestion: are you planning on turboing? if so dont buy the header. waste of money.

that's weird..good warning tho! does a header not do anything if your car is turboed?

OR i coudl cancel ALL those plans for now and just turbo it;) what would you guys think?

p.s. chris....lovin' the puss in boots..bhahaha

turbo works by exhuast gases via a specialized exhaust manifold...so no header

I think at that # of clicks on the odometer you need some engine maintenace before anything. Get it checked out see whats really wrong w/ it. Check the compression, get a leakdown test.

Like hondaten says, the h block is good to only a few turbo'd psi before it cracks (kinda like the b20b/z).
SO
If it were me Id just go w/ an na build. Just easier. Get some good cams, port the head and intake mani, match the exhaust ports.
Just get it running good right now though

For exhaust check out the greddy evo 2 cat back. Sounds awesome and looks realy good on a 'lude.

yeah the rebuild is top priority..BUT while i have the engine apart, i might as well modify it right? So new valves and all that good stuff will come at the same time. new timing belt etc
