So I'm sure alot of you have seen one or both of his movies, what impact do you feel he has or will have on america?
I personally see alot of what he's talking about. In bowling for colimbine the difference he shows between canada and the usa aren't only guns. We both have alot of guns yet american has 100 times the gun related death rate. He also brings up the idea that the USA is a country run on fear, do you agree or disagree and why?
I see the fear aspect, its rather interesting a country that is so 'free' owns so many guns and locks. And from the movie 'if guns helped keep people safe, the USA would be the safest country in the world and yet it is not'.

Moore has more (hehe) than two movies BTW. He hit it big with Roger & Me.
America is most definitely a country run on fear. How do you think you get things like the Patriot Act passed?
I saw Fahrenheit 9/11. Good stuff, though I knew a lot of it. And a fair bit is Moore jumping to conclusions.
But I support anything that will get Bush voted out. Especially since he was never voted in.

we are a country fuled off the fear of the masses and the aggression of the few. if we as a country were more educated and cared more about what goes on inside our personal bubble, things would be 10x different

Moore does a great job pandering to "his people"...usually people who slant to the left who tend to be fairly open minded and pissed with the way things are going. After "Roger & Me" he did a all-too-short lived TV show called "The Awful Truth" which was just great. He's just very good at pointing out what is right in front of you. Yes, he does jump to conclusions, editorialize a bit, and stretch the truth in some cases...but he's a filmmaker. The people cry foul when they don't like what he says and claim that he's lying or stretching the truth. God forbid a filmmaker stretch the truth. But if you're the president, it's ok to do the same thing. All in all whether he's right or wrong the man gets people thinking and talking which is more than can be said for 99.9999% of movies coming out these days.

It's definitely out on video. Bowling for Columbine. I believe that's how you spell it.
It's been out on the movie channels for like a year now, so it's definitely on video. I believe you can actually buy a package set of Roger & Me and Bowling.

You think people would stop crying about it after 4 years..
And SolPol.. you don't know anything about anything already.. it's funny how you say you already knew a lot of it considering it is strictly someone's point of view and/or opinion..

Stop crying? That's exactly what you fascists are counting on.
Have you seen the movie? It's not all opinion man. It's facts mixed in with opinion.
Yeah, an entire documentary based on opinion. Follow me here, it's a documentary.

Exactly the way it should have? You wanna tell me where in the Constitution it says anything about the Supreme Court deciding who should be President? Where it says, no recounts when all recounts prove the other guy won?
Where it says that two, count the TWO, justices can refuse to step aside when they or close relatives have ties to one candidates campaign? I must've missed that amendment.

Alright...seriously...I'm not one to bitch and moan about "stolen elections" or shit like that, but when you say "the system worked exactly the way it should have", you're wrong. There's no room for debate there...you're just plain wrong. The idea of a democratic society is that the majority rules. Pure and simple. If the most people want you in a given position, you get the position. In the '00 elections, Gore won the majority of the vote, but still somehow lost the election. Oh I know...before you bring up the electoral college I'm well aware of the principle...and it's fucking retarded. Telling people in a state like...say...Michigan that their votes don't count as much as someone's vote in California's simply based on population...and you KNOW that roughly 85% of Californians are morons. They've got an ex-body builder and shitty actor as their governor. They followed Minnesota's lead after they elected the honorable Jesse "The Body" Ventura. So no, the system didn't work the way it's supposed to because we've flawed it. In a TRUELY democratic society we wouldn't be in this quagmire. On that note...I hear the thought police coming.
