I'm trying to find simple engine mods besides h/i/e to get more out of my car. It's an automatic which I know alot of people are prob talkin junk about but whatever. i just want my ride to get a bit faster..................any tips?

n2o
supercharge it
get rid of the power steering and gain a little (dyno'd @ 10ft lbs+)
um....probably more...

pulleys are a waste so dont bother w/ those

if transmission is out of the question then I would say an aftermarket cam, and an intake manifold (SKunk2). Just dont go with a cam with some serious overlap and lift unless u plan on getting a stall for the automatic. Also take into consideration that an aftermarket cam will not have the longetivity as a factory cam. The more aggressive cam u go with the more longetivity suffers.

 pulleys are a waste? i could have sworn i saw an article where they threw new pulleys on a 350z and got 10 more poines on the dyno. i know its not a civic but i figure it would make some difference...

and removing power steering gains 10 ft lbs??? where the hell did you read that? although i heard it was good for about 3-4 hp.

underdrive pulleys are waste on civics...other cars may be more.
the crank pulley may make more power, but since its not a balanced peice the crank takes damage over time.
(The 350 is internally balanced so it can safely run it)

I remember seeing dyno charts from people who removed the p/s - Both had gained 10ft lbs. Hp I didnt remember since it was the tq that impressed me. This was awhile ago, but it was on h-t and Im sure its still there somewhere.

I would have reccomended a supercharger, turbo, or n2o but it appears to me that he is looking for simple bolt ons for a few horsepower.

Would it be a waste if I rebuilt the head of my car then go turbo?
