I'm not very good with computers and internet..... except locating parts and porn ... he he....
Anyway, I've downloaded bittorrent and Anime movies with torrent files but I cant seem to view the movie. It would automatically open windos media player but all I hear is the sound.... no video. I tried opening it by selecting "open with.... bittorrent" and would give me an error: got bad file"... WTF? Any ideas?

sounds like you have a bad codec, or the codec is missing.

I'm barely home man. I have been out to sea a lot, and when I'm home, I just want to chill, read my email, surf the boards, and find parts. My AIM gets flooded all the time. I dont mind tech conversation and parts research, but there are a lot of dumb shit that occurs and drama shit that i dont like to deal with especially when I'm just chillin.....

Anyway, this bitorrent thing is awesome. Lots of asian movies to DL to include live movies and animation. I DL'd the first 4 episodes of Stage-2 Initial-D. The vidoe quality is amazing.

bit torrent is awesome, and i like how it actually takes a little bit of effort to make stuff available. this way it sort of automatically filters out the poor quality stuff you get from p2p shit.

got any reliable sites besides suprnova.org and torrentreactor.net?

wow! I'm really suprised that not a whole lot of people knows this "share system". I love this shit. I've downloaded some rare Anime and Asian movies. I have all the Initial-D stage 1 (all 20 episodes) and the first 4 of the Stage 2. There are so much crap out there. Even have Anime porn... ooopss... they I typed that... ha ha..

Good codecs to have...Divx, Xvid, and MP42. That covers like 98% of anything you'll ever download. As for bittorrent, I've never even tried to use it. People just made it sound way too complicated. Maybe I should...Kazaalite is a little light in the asian film department.

Ok...can someone explain to me how exactly to use Bittorrent? I've downloaded the actual program and installed it, but I haven't got a clue how to use it. And Arnel...where are you finding all of these Asian movies.

goto suprnova.org
find what you like. click on the name (or save the .torrent file if you want to resume later on). open it. bittorrent next opens open and asks where you want to save the file you want to download. pick a location and click ok.
one thing to note...whatever you download you upload to a numerous amount of people at the same time. so if there's no one uploading (no one using that .torrent file), you can't download. that's why stuff posted a few days back or not so popular items are either super slow or don't download at all.

I find movies all over the place man. I go here: www.animesuki.com

Not all of them are anime. If you look at the top menu, click on the "series". it will show the listing of all the ones they have. Every now and then you may come across other links that will have other movies not listed on animesuki since animesuki focuses more on anime obviuosly.

But yeah man, like Juve said. Once you find a place that has .torrent file, you'll be able to dl movies for free and legally until it gets licensed.

To use it:
-Set up your bitorrent by simply installing it
-Go to a site like www.animesuki.com
-Select a movie/series you want to dl
-It will give you a choice to where you want the file stored
-Once dl is complete, enjoy the movie

I highly recommend the series here:

Check out: State of Divinity and Legend of the Condor Hero. Both are live-action vice anime......
.... and yeah Steve, if you find any interesting movie, let me know. peace out man....

Dude...if someone can show me how to set up an FTP (I tried once...failed miserably) I've got a TON of Asian DVDs you'd probably love. All of my actual DVDs are mostly shock stuff like Takashi Miike, but there's some yakuza/crime stuff, crazy horror stuff, and samurai flicks. Lemme know man...if you want a list hit me up with a PM. Hell, send me a blank DVD and I'll burn it and send it back to ya. I still owe you one for that stuff on adiabatic efficiency that was insanely invaluable and I never could have gotten on my own.

Well...I haven't tried it since your last post. I'm in KC and my "good" computer is back at school. This one has dial-up...and it's shitty dial-up at that. But yeah dude...send me a PM and I'll give you a list of what I've got once I get back to Pittsburg (later today). Least I can do mang.

I finally did get mine working. I've downloaded some bad ass movies I couldn't find ANYWHERE. Any idea why some of the files download and they're just a bunch of tiny files? I know some are in .rar fomats and just need to be decompressed, but some of them just come in little nonsensical pieces. Bittorrent does, in fact, own Kazaa.
